Circus lane is a very picturesque street in the New Town area of Edinburgh. It is at the edge of Stockbridge. This is one of the many streets that set Edinburgh apart from other cities.

Circus Lane

Originally in the 1760s this street was a mews. This would have contained the stables of the larger houses on St Stephen Street and Royal Circus. This has since been converted to some spectacular small houses.
